I am Pam, and I feel most at peace when I am on the Pamlico River. As a child, I was sure I was named after the river. My parents dispute this, but I'm still not completely convinced. 

The story behind this page is very much a tribute to a great man, my grandfather. When his own children were young, he picked the Pamlico River as his home away from home. He spent all his free time building a cottage and a legacy for his family to enjoy. I feel like I grew up in that cottage. The Pamlico River is where my heart lives, even though my body lives an hour or so away. It is not uncommon for my family to hop in the car and drive down just for an hour or two. I can only pray my children love this place as much as I do.
